Why
am I writing about cloth pads, sea sponge tampons & Diva (silicone)
cups-reusable, internally-worn menstrual cups? Because I may have
never found out about them unless someone had told me about them & they
work sooooo
much better than the regular tampons & pads, you save lots of
money & the environment from all that waste, & don't have the
bleached tampons & pads against your skin.
www.gladrags.com is where I've ordered from these past 5 years (I have the same pads I started out with 5 years ago)! (Glad Rags has everything on this page excepet the bug repellent :-). . All the items I speak of on this page are at the Jade & pearl website http://www.jadeandpearl.com ; The company even makes a natural bug spay repellent, safe for body & cloths.

Since I've found out about the Diva Cup http://www.lunapads.com/products/divacup it's made a big difference in my life! If it weren't for that cup, I'd have to stay home at least 2 days every month, because my cycle is so heavy then. The cup is also great, because if you are unable to rise it out (like in a public restroom stall) you can empty contents into the toilet & clean it with some toilet paper instead of rising it out that time. This means tons of convenience to me, & it lasts for 10 years!
A friend told me about the pads & sponge tampons about 5 years ago http://www.lunapads.com/products/sea_sponge_tampons & at first I thought eeewwwe a reusable tampon?!? But once she showed them to me & explained that you rinse them out when you would normally change (& throw away) a tampon & I found how much better they worked than a tampon, I used them for, about 5 years now. Two will usually last for 6 months, sometimes less. I would use the organic cotton pads, that you wash in the washing machine, in combination with the sponge tampons & I've never had to buy more cotton pads since my initial purchase, 5 years ago. I got 3 of the regular & one overnight.
